Complete Feature Reference
Subrift is not just a subreddit finder. It's a full intelligence layer on top of Reddit: verified community database, live API lookups, claim scoring, activity signals, best posting time analysis, and a developer API — all with a focus on accuracy over volume.
01 · The Problem
Configured by mods to auto-delete posts with external links within seconds — before any human sees them.
Your post looks live to you but is invisible to everyone else. No notification. No explanation.
Reddit silently removes posts it considers promotional. You'd never know without checking logged out.
Popular subreddits have mod teams that manually patrol and remove anything off-topic or promotional.
A large share of Reddit communities have engaged, active members — but the mod team went quiet months or years ago. No AutoModerator. No manual review. No deletions. Subrift finds these communities, scores them by opportunity, and tells you exactly when to post.
02 · The Database
Every subreddit in Subrift's database has been checked for moderator inactivity, member activity, and whether posts actually survive. It's not just a list — it's a verified map of open doors across Reddit.
Type any keyword and instantly see matching communities by name, tag, or topic.
Filter by niche, member size, post frequency, and claimable-only. Combine freely.
Sort by Claim Score, member count, mod inactivity, or posts per day to prioritize your best opportunities.
Star any community to add it to your personal shortlist. Manage targets across sessions.
Get notified when new subreddits matching your niche are added to the database.
Pull real-time data from any subreddit by name using Reddit's public API — no key needed.
Subrift continuously tracks each moderator's last posts, comments, and mod actions via the Reddit API. If no mod has been active in 60+ days, the subreddit qualifies. We also scan recent posts to verify link posts are actually surviving — not just that mods appear inactive.
03 · Claim Score
Reoogle shows you whether mods are inactive. Subrift goes further — we combine mod inactivity, member activity, community size, and post survival rate into a single 0–100 Claim Score.
Inactive mods confirmed, high member activity, posts surviving. Act now.
Strong opportunity. Worth targeting with quality content.
Possible opportunity but signals are mixed. Research before posting.
Mods may still be active or community is too small. Skip for now.
Unlike a raw “inactive mod” flag, the Claim Score accounts for member engagement — because a dead community with inactive mods is worthless. You want the ones where people are still posting and commenting every day.
04 · Member Activity Signal
This is one of Subrift's key advantages over competitors. We separately track moderator inactivity and actual member engagement — so you never waste time targeting a subreddit that's quiet on both ends.
20+ posts/day, 100+ active users
10–20 posts/day, consistent engagement
3–10 posts/day, worth monitoring
Under 3 posts/day, low priority
05 · Live Reddit Lookup
Type any subreddit name into the Finder and Subrift fetches live data directly from Reddit's public API — no OAuth, no API key, no setup. Member count, active users, description, and a calculated Claim Score appear instantly. Fetched subreddits are tagged LIVE and added to your session.
06 · Best Posting Time Analyzer
Subrift's heatmap visualizes aggregate member activity across tracked subreddits, broken down by day of week and hour of day. Hover any cell to see the exact activity score. Three recommended windows are highlighted automatically.
Thu–Fri 7–9pm — highest cross-niche engagement of the week.
Tue–Wed 12–2pm — strong for quick-read and how-to content.
Sat 10am–12pm — higher dwell time, longer posts perform well.
07 · Saved Shortlist
Star any subreddit in the Finder to save it. Your saved list lives in a dedicated tab, showing Claim Score, member count, mod inactivity, and posts per day at a glance. Available on all paid plans.
08 · Subrift vs Reoogle
